REUNION PICTURES AVAILABLE ONLINE!

For those of you you have and want to share photos from our memorable reunion weekend, we've set up a Flickr page for our class, so that you can do just that. Amy Evans has already uploaded all of her photos, which you can view and download here. If you're interested in sharing your own images from the weekend, which we certainly encourage you to do, please send us an email (hspva1989(a)gmail.com), and we'll send you the account's login information. Even if you don't have photos to upload, please feel free to visit our Flickr page and download images. We created this account in an effort to share everyone's memories of our reunion weekend in a single place, sine we KNOW there are some fun and fantastic pictures out there!

Jenn Lindberg and her husband, Jim, who documented the entire weekend, have also made reunion photos available online. They're simply gorgeous and are fabulous evidence of the good time had by all. Live music upstairs, relaxed bar downstairs, yummy burgers and other tasty food until 10:30. Probably better for grownups only, but kids are allowed in Rudz, the attached restaurant.

Dress: hottie or grungy casual, as you wish!

SATURDAY, AUGUST 8:

Yes, there will be cake! And iced tea and coffee. And if Tania Rivas has anything to say about it, live music by PVA alums - come and jam with friends or stake out some time to show off. Tania would love it if you'd contact her at taniaion@yahoo.com to set that up.

Got kids? With enough interest, we’ll get sitters to help them do simple craft projects while you mingle – small extra charge might be necessary(5$ or so per family, depending on numbers) - So far we've only had request for sitters for 4 kids, so let us know if you need it that afternoon.

Dress: just be comfortable! Or trade what you're wearing for our Reunion T-shirts, which will be on sale for a very reasonable price, we promise.

Bring a picnic lunch or some munchies to share - Friends and family are welcome to join in! If they're connected to you, they're invited.

If you're not up to a food run, there's also an on-site (and air-conditioned!) restaurant that opens at 11, right next to the stage. They have burgers, salads, and fabulous basil lemonade, among other things.

We get a prize perch above the lake - evidently, there's always a breeze. Watch the kids dash through fountains, sail toy boats, and clamber on the playscape. We'll bring ice water and lemonade!

Dress: as little and as sweat-wicking as possible!

We haven't set up any blocks of rooms, but some alums have found great rates at:

The Hilton Garden Inn at the Galleria (walking distance to the mall) $79/night king or double, $129 Jr. suite with a fold-out couch and king bed

The La Quinta Galleria, king bed, sleeps 3, $85/night with mini-fridge, microwave, and breakfast

Hilton-Americas (the new one downtown - facing Discovery Green) king or doubles, $99/night or $89 with AAA Discount

FRI. 8/7 MIXER LOCATION SET!

To ring in our reunion weekend, we've schedule a little come-one-come-all mixer for Friday night, August 7, 8 p.m.-until, at Rudyard's in Montrose, just a stone's throw from PVA. Stop on by for drinks and darts and stay late, if you're interested in catching some live music. Scheduled to perform are White Rhino, Whorehound, and Trian Woodburns. Not interested in those bands? No problem! The music is upstairs and doesn't start until about 10 p.m., and there's plenty of room to sit and visit downstairs.

REUNION UPDATE + MORE CLASSMATES FOUND

We're gearing up for the big event and are pleased to cross sixteen more of our classmates off of the "missing" list.

The dates for the reunion haven't changed - August 7-9 - we will definitely be doing a mixer Friday evening, an afternoon doo-dad at HSPVA Saturday afternoon, a Saturday night reunion, and a Sunday late morning-early afternoon playtime/potluck/picnic-y thing.

By the way - there's an all-school reunion coming up in July, randomly - it was supposed to be in April and then they freaked out last-minute and rescheduled - Amy Evans and I beg you all to avoid it like the plague and save your travel for August! We promise a) that our event will be more fun and b) we'll have the room full of people you're really anxious to see.
